You can not use BNU fossel with the tape because it will allways reboot
so use the X00 fossel and this is mandatory..
I am also using Tdoor 183 for file door and have it as a type 7.
Here is the command line for the Tdoor type 7 drop and the command line in
tdoor config. If you need Tdoor183 I do have it for freq as TDOOR183.ARJ
and it has tdplus with it 414.917. This one seems to work better for me.
The command line in the tdoor might work by its self not sure because I do liek
the file door and beta test it as well. I was having problems with the
190 version so went back to the 183 version.
type 7 == \RA\TDOOR.EXE TDOOR.CNF *M

Allong with all of this you must have the FC-10 card in your computer for the
tape drive to work correctly. If you are using the floppy controller good luck
because it won't work... In the dir you want to restore to just put a FILES.BBS
of the files on the tape in there and your users should be able to get to them.
I have the time out for the board set at 5 minutes and will work with less..
I believe all of this should work for you. I have got 88meg partitions and can
backup a full partition while someone is online. You can not restore a full
partition in a second window but you can restore one full directory at a time
in the second window without any problem. If you have any further questions
you can call Voice at 817-756-3330. I hope this works for you as it does for
me...... Let me know if it works for you..

This setup does work here and I can not promise that it will work on your system
at all. You are welcome to try all of this and feel free to pass it along to
anyone that might need the help untill CMS and DV get together and fix the
programs to work together...

ADDENDUM: By Trent Shirley
The above settings for the Colorado Software, and Desqview settings work
with the Colorado Jumbo 120 and 250 tap backup systems, providing your
processor is either slow, or you slow the processor down manually.
I can turn the processor speed down by CTRL\ALT\SHIFT-MINUS (Grey minus
key on keypad), or I can switch down by turbo button. Some systems to not
have a functional turbo switch, so switching down from the keyboard may be
neccessary. On some systems CTRL\ALT-MINUS will be sufficient, but you
should check your manual to be certain what will work with your system.
My system is a 386-40Mhz and will work with the tape software and Desqview
ONLY if I switch the processor speed down to 20 Mhz or lower. The tape
software works perfectly, at full speed, outside of DV.
Alternatively, you may be able to change the bus speed of your motherboard,
by either jumper or CMOS setup. This may slow the bus down enough to allow
the card and software to communicate properly, but it has not been confirmed
yet that the bus speed is indeed the problem. If you manage to get your
system running by lowering bus speed, and not CPU speed, then please let me
know.
The settings listed above by Bob Posey, do work on my system. However, they
are not the ONLY settings that will work. I have tried various settings for
the FC-10 card that have worked fine. Dont be afraid to experiment to find
settings that will suit your needs better than those listed above. If you
run into problems, the settings in this file are a good base to start with.
Let's thank Bob for his efforts to obtain this information, and for
for taking the time to compile the information for our benefit.
